Barnsley stars win national award in customer excellence

Alhambra Shopping Centre is celebrating winning an ACE Superstar and an ACE Star Award in the 2020 Revo Achieving Customer Excellence (ACE) Awards.

Vicky Brook, Customer Service Operative and Charlotte Stafford, Customer Care Officer from the Alhambra Shopping Centre won the prestigious retail awards which took place virtually this year, and recognises outstanding customer experience in retail outlets.

Dave Probyn, Alhambra Centre Manager said: “One of our main business objectives as a management team is to deliver excellent customer service, in a safe and clean environment. We are extremely proud of both Vicky and Charlotte for achieving this award and proving that our vision is being demonstrated within the Centre.”

Entries came from shopping outlets across the UK, including security personnel, cleaning operatives and other facility managers, each being visited by a mystery shopper to evaluate their customer service skills.

This was then narrowed down to a shortlist of 50 finalists who were then put through a second secret shopper challenge and reviewed by an ACE judging panel. Finalist’s stood out from the crowd, landing the industry renowned, ACE Star and ACE Superstar Awards.

Vicky Brook, ACE Superstar winner said: “It feels amazing to have won an ACE Superstar Award. I had only been at the Alhambra for a few months when the mystery shop took place, so to be recognised for the hard work I put in to ensure customers get an enjoyable shopping experience is a real achievement.”

Charlotte Stafford, ACE Star award winner added: “I’m really proud, we all work hard as a team to achieve customer excellence and to be awarded for it makes all the effort worthwhile.”
