Roarsome dinosaur day to take over the Alhambra Shopping Centre

Families in Barnsley are invited to step back in time this May as the Alhambra Shopping Centre hosts a free, fun-filled Dinosaur Day packed with prehistoric adventure.

Taking place on Thursday 28 May, from 10am to 4pm, the centre will transform into a Jurassic playground, complete with roaming dinosaurs, hands-on fossil digging and plenty of opportunities for young explorers to learn and play.

Young adventurers can test their skills in an interactive digging activity, guided by expert dinosaur rangers, making it an engaging and educational experience for families.

The event is completely free to attend, with no booking required. Simply turn up and enjoy a day of discovery, excitement and unforgettable photo opportunities.

Matt O’Neill, Director for Place at Barnsley Council, said: “Events like Dinosaur Day bring a real sense of fun and energy to our town centre, helping to create memorable experiences for families while showcasing everything Barnsley has to offer.

“The Alhambra continues to play an important role in attracting visitors and making Barnsley a great place to enjoy family time.”
